Description

The Lolo National Forest anticipates awarding services for insect and disease control via applying prescribed chemicals at the Plains Tree Improvement Area (TIA). The TIA is located 3 miles west of Plains, Montana, adjacent to Highway 200, and is a gently sloped agricultural field of 123 acres. One class of chemical will be used.

The Lolo National Forest is seeking services for insect and disease control by applying prescribed chemicals at the Plains Tree Improvement Area (TIA) located in Plains, Montana. The TIA is a gently sloped agricultural field of 123 acres.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide insect and disease control services by applying prescribed chemicals at the Plains Tree Improvement Area. Specific tasks include applying foliar spray to control cone/seed damaging insects on up to 1500 ponderosa pine and various needle diseases on up to 5000 lodgepole pine, ponderosa pine, Douglas-fir, and western larch. Additionally, chemical spraying to the bole of trees is required for both ponderosa pine and lodgepole pine, Douglas-fir, and western larch. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies, and incidentals necessary to safely perform all work required.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for the contract is expected to be completed by September 15.

Place of Performance
The services are to be performed at the Plains Tree Improvement Area (TIA) located in Plains, Montana.
