Logistical and IT Support for the NCI Central Institutional Review Board (CIRB)

Background
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) established the Central Institutional Review Board (CIRB) to review multi-center, late-phase oncology trials in adults and cancer treatment, prevention, and control studies in children. The CIRB serves as the IRB of record for all studies under their review and received accreditation by the Association for the Accreditation of Human Research Protection Programs (AAHRPP). This acquisition is a re-competition of a previous contract awarded to The Emmes Company, LLC.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide logistical and IT support for the NCI CIRB. This includes managing and staffing at least four CIRBs, implementing processes to ensure continuous compliance with federal regulations and AAHRPP standards, conducting pre-board administrative reviews, managing board membership, conducting education efforts for board members, maintaining the CIRB website, maintaining AAHRPP accreditation, implementing a quality assurance program, providing IT software and support for all CIRB activities, collaborating with other NCI contractors, project management, and managing the Ed Days conference.
