Lodging for Eligible Beneficiaries, Portland VA Medical Center   3

Background
The VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) is seeking a contractor to provide hotel services for patient lodging for pre-approved patients. The goal of this contract is to ensure that eligible veterans and their significant others have access to comfortable lodging during their stay, thereby supporting the mission of the VA in providing comprehensive care to veterans.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide hotel services for an estimated daily twenty (20) pre-approved patients from Sunday through Thursday, and an estimated daily six (6) pre-approved patients for Friday and three (3) for Saturday. Rooms must be fully furnished and held until at least 6 PM each evening. The contractor will be responsible only for the daily room rate; all other costs such as meals and incidentals will be borne by the veteran.

The contractor must offer a minimum of twenty-seven (27) standard rooms Sunday through Thursday, and three (3) standard rooms Friday through Saturday. Room rates must include all applicable taxes, fees, daily changes of linens, toiletries, maid service, free parking, and free wireless internet access. The contractor shall allow caregivers or attendants to stay with veterans at no additional cost. If additional rooms are required beyond the minimums specified, they shall be provided at the same rate if authorized and available.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and continue through February 28, 2027.

Place of Performance
The lodging facility must be located within 10 miles of the VA Portland Health Care System at 3710 NW US Veterans Hospital Road, Portland, OR 97239-2999.
