Lock and Dam Tow Haul Wire Rope

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is issuing a contract for the procurement of wire rope to support their operations. The goal of this contract is to acquire twenty (20) rolls of Extra-Extra Improved Plow Steel Rope (EEIPSR) to ensure the availability of high-quality materials for their projects.

Work Details
The contract requires the delivery of twenty (20) rolls of Extra-Extra Improved Plow Steel Rope (EEIPSR) with the following specifications:
- Diameter: .500 inches +/- 10%
- Length: 500 feet (+/- 12 inches), wound on heavy-duty wooden spools
- Type: Extra-Extra Improved Plow Steel Wire Rope with Independent Wire Rope Core (IWRC)
- Minimum Breaking Strength: 29,000 lbs
- Minimum Working Load Limit (WLL): 6,000 lbs
- Strand Configuration: 6-36 strands
- Lay: Right-hand lay
- Condition: Must be new.

Additionally, the wire rope must meet ASTM A1023/A1023M (2021) and ASTM A931 (2018) standards. The delivery is required to be FOB Destination to the Mississippi River Project Office in Fountain City, WI.

Period of Performance
Delivery shall be completed within six months after award.

Place of Performance
Mississippi River Project Office, 431 Northshore Drive, Fountain City, WI 54629.

Bidder Requirements
Quoters must provide documentation that includes the manufacturer’s name and address, country of origin, and applicable technical specifications demonstrating compliance with the required standards. After award, a Certificate of Conformance must be submitted that includes similar details.
