Lock and Dam #2 Door Removal and Replacement

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing a firm-fixed-price contract for the removal and replacement of doors at Lock and Dam #2, located in Hastings, MN.
The goal of this contract is to enhance the security and functionality of the facility by replacing existing doors with new high-performance systems.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and installation of up to eight doors, including five aluminum doors and an option for three additional steel doors.
Specific tasks include:
1. Furnishing and installing three new high-performance aluminum-framed full-glass commercial door systems (doors 107, 108, and 201).
2. Furnishing and installing two new high-performance aluminum-framed half-glass commercial door systems (doors 001 and 002).
3. Optionally furnishing and installing three new commercial-grade hollow metal steel door systems (doors 105, 106, and 109).
4. Removal and disposal of all existing door components.
5. Installation of new panic bars (exit bars) and door closures while reusing existing deadbolts and lock cylinders keyed to existing keys.
6. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local safety regulations during all work performed.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must furnish required performance and payment bonds within a specified number of calendar days after award.
Additionally, bidders must provide a current Certificate of Insurance, appoint a construction superintendent, submit a schedule of operations prior to commencing work, ensure compliance with environmental regulations, and guarantee that all work is performed by skilled tradesmen certified as required by applicable laws.
