Description

The contract will provide telecommunications services (TS) for Columbus AFB IAW the PWS dated 15 November 2024. The new contract will include a switch from standard copper cabling to fiber optics. The 14th Communications Squadron (14CS) currently utilizes Primary Rate Interface (PRI) trunking for local TS. In efforts to modernize the telecommunications infrastructure to Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP), 14CS requires a transition from PRI to Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) trunking. Due to changes in technology, equipment, and processes, it has become evident that the Government should acquire these services in a performance-based manner, consistent with the principles contained in Air Force Instruction (AFI) 63- 138 Acquisition of Services.
