Background
The Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD) is seeking services for the installation, extension, retraction, and maintenance of its Local Area Network (LAN) to support multimedia functions such as two-way data communications.

This contract aims to ensure the LAN operates as a cohesive system while minimizing disruption to government operations.

Work Details
The contractor will perform various tasks including:
1. **LAN/Ethernet**: Installation and termination of up to 400 Category 6 and 6E LAN twisted pair cable drops per contract year.
2. **Fiber Cable**: Installation, termination, and splicing of fiber-optic cables with a maximum of 10 pre-terminated runs and 5 splicing instances per year. Fiber lengths will range from 200 to 1000 feet.
3. **Remedial Maintenance (RM)**: On-site maintenance within six business hours for major failures and restoration of service within 18 business hours. Water removal from manholes may also be required.
4. **BBLAN Removal**: Uninstallation of approximately one-fifth of the existing Broadband Local Area Network (BBLAN) components annually, including coaxial cables and associated hardware.

Period of Performance
The base period is one year from the date of award with options for four additional years.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at Tobyhanna Army Depot, Tobyhanna, PA.
