Description

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ), on behalf of the ICE Air Operations (IAO), intends to extend a task order pursuant to FAR 8.405-6(a), Limiting Sources. Please see the attachment for more information.

Background
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ), on behalf of ICE Air Operations (IAO), intends to extend a task order for charter flight services due to urgent and compelling needs, ensuring continuity of critical flight operations.

Work Details
ICE intends to procure charter flight services through the Multiple Award Schedule Program. The incumbent contractor, CSI, is uniquely qualified to continue providing uninterrupted services without the customary transition period required by new vendors. This extension is necessary to prevent service lapses during corrective actions recommended by the GAO following protests against a newly awarded air transportation contract.

Period of Performance
The base period of performance for the current interim contract will end on August 31, 2024, with an extension required to complete corrective actions and transition to the competitively awarded contract.
