THE WORK CONSISTS OF: Furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to preform the demolition and removal of the existing lightning protection system in its entirety and provide a new system for the Ball Mountain Lake Dam intake structure, in accordance with NFPA 780 criteria.

ALL VENDORS MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE REGISTRATION IN SAM.GOV AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED. ANY VENDOR THAT DOES NOT HAVE AN ACTIVE SAM.GOV REGISTRATION WILL BE REJECTED AS NON RESPONSIVE.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is seeking a small business vendor to provide lightning protection upgrades at Ball Mountain Lake Dam intake structure in Jamaica, VT. The work includes the demolition and removal of the existing lightning protection system and the installation of a new system in accordance with NFPA 780 criteria. Vendors must have an active registration in SAM.GOV at the time of submission to be considered.

Work Details
The contractor is required to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the lightning protection upgrades. The work shall be completed within 120 days from the Notice to Proceed and shall be performed Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Safety requirements include compliance with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers safety and health requirements, as well as Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), federal, state, and local safety and health requirements.

The contractor is responsible for preparing an Accident Prevention Plan (APP) specific to the activities being performed, conducting weekly safety meetings, submitting an Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA) for each major phase of work, documenting emergency response procedures, employing a minimum of one Competent Person (CP) at each project site to function as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO), and reporting all accidents and near misses. Fall protection requirements are applicable when employees are working at heights above 6 feet.
