Lightning Protection Systems (LPS) Services & Repairs   4

Background
The contract is issued by the Letterkenny Munitions Center (LEMC), which is responsible for maintaining the safety and integrity of various facilities through effective lightning protection systems. The goal of this contract is to ensure that these systems are properly serviced and repaired to mitigate risks associated with lightning strikes, thereby protecting buildings, docks, and other critical infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, quality control, and other items necessary to perform lightning protection system service and repair as defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This includes:

1. Testing and repairing lightning protection systems consisting of integral systems (lightning rods), mast systems, and catenary systems at LEMC.

2. Ensuring that all active lightning protection systems are tested at least once per year.

3. Scheduling repairs within 48 hours of a report.

4. Compliance with DA PAM 385-64 standards for safety and performance.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from January 21, 2026, to January 20, 2027, with options for four additional one-year periods extending through January 20, 2031.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at Letterkenny Munitions Center located at Route 997, Voelz Gate Emergency, Chambersburg, PA 17201-4150, United States.
