Light Armored Vehicles

Background
The Department of Justice (DOJ) has directed the Office of Protective Operations (OPO) with new missions of protecting high-level U.S. Government officials, which require a high level protective service detail and transportation in armored vehicles. This is a new requirement due to the inadequate current vehicle inventory to provide the needed protection. Alpine Armoring has been identified as a vendor who can provide the needed Light Armored Vehicles (LAVs) within the desired time frame. Additionally, they are located within a 30-mile radius of Washington, D.C., which will cut down on delivery time and/or warranty issues.

Work Details
This requirement is for five (5) new Light Armored Vehicles (LAV) SUVs with specific specifications needed for the Judicial Security Division (JSD), Office of Protective Operations (OPO). The procurement will be for new armored SUVs meeting the agency's protective details needs, and it will be a firm fixed price contract. The anticipated award date is July 2023.
