LI-COR Biotech: Odyssey M Chemi/Fluor Imaging Bundle Standard

Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), specifically the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Center for Cancer Research, requires a new imaging system to replace an outdated protein imager. The Odyssey M Chemi/Fluor Imaging Bundle Standard from LI-COR Biotech, LLC is intended for this purpose. The NCI is the principal federal agency for cancer research and aims to advance scientific knowledge and improve cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, and survivorship. LI-COR Biotech is recognized as the sole source capable of providing an imaging system that meets NCI's technical and research requirements.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement of one (1) Li-COR Biosciences Odyssey M (Chemi/Fluor) – Data Integrity Bundle Plus (Imager). This imaging system supports various applications including:
- Fluorescent and colorimetric Western blots
- Immunocytochemistry (In-Cell Western and On-Cell Western)
- Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assays (ELISAs)
- Protein and nucleic acid arrays
- High-resolution fluorescent and RGB tissue section analysis
- Fluorescent and colorimetric protein gel detection
- Nucleic acid detection
- Non-isotopic Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assays (EMSAs).

Key specifications include:
- Four solid state laser diodes with specific emission wavelengths.
- Two sets of RGB LEDs for trans and epi illumination.
- Line scanning fluorescence detection using scientific sCMOS technology.
- Dynamic range of at least 6 orders of magnitude in a single acquisition.
- Integrated precision scanning mechanism capable of resolutions from 5 to 100 µm.

The system must also accommodate various sample media including membranes, multi-well plates, gels, and slides.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall deliver and install the equipment within 30-45 days after receipt of order.

Bidder Requirements
The contractor must be an authorized distributor or OEM for LI-COR Biotech products. The proposal must include evidence of capability to fulfill the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation.
