Description

THIS PROJECT WILL ADD NEW SECURITY BARRIERS (FENCE, GATE,) FOR ADDITIONAL PERSONNEL SAFETY AND PROJECTSECURITY.THE CONTRACTOR SELECTED TO PERFORM THIS WORK WILL BE REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK TO INCLUDE:. CONCRETE SAW CUTTING FOR ELECTRICAL UNDERGROUND TRENCH.. SIDEWALK CONCRETE DEMOLITION AND NEW SIDEWALK CONCRETE. MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE FOOTINGS. INSTALLATION OF MISC BOLLARDS. SELECT FENCE DEMOLITION. ASPHALT REPAIR- REMOVE EXISTING VEHICULAR SWING GATE AND INSTALL MOTOR-OPERATED CANTILEVERED GATE- INSTALL FENCE AND PEDESTRIAN GATE AROUND BASE OF EXISTING EXTERIOR STAIRCASE.- INSTALL, RIGID METALLIC CONDUIT AND UNDERGROUNDSCH40 PVC CONDUIT, AS SHOWN IN THE PLANS
Background
The U.S. Army Engineer District Walla Walla is issuing this contract for the Little Goose Visual Monitoring Project Security Upgrades, aimed at enhancing personnel safety and project security at the Little Goose Lock and Dam, Juvenile Fish Facility, located near Starbuck, Washington.

Work Details
The contractor selected to perform this work will be required to complete the following tasks:

- Concrete saw cutting for electrical underground trench
- Sidewalk concrete demolition and installation of new sidewalk concrete
- Miscellaneous concrete footings
- Installation of miscellaneous bollards
- Selective fence demolition
- Asphalt repair
- Removal of existing vehicular swing gate and installation of a motor-operated cantilevered gate
- Installation of a fence and pedestrian gate around the base of the existing exterior staircase
- Installation of rigid metallic conduit and underground SCH40 PVC conduit as shown in the plans.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days and complete it within 90 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Little Goose Lock and Dam, Juvenile Fish Facility, near Starbuck, Washington.
