Leica TM6100a Industrial Theodolite

This theodolite will be used to develop the detailed procedures for the alignment measurements between the Optical Navigation Camera and the two star trackers as mounted on the Orion Service Module. These procedures, which will be executed at NASA, Kennedy Space Center (KSC), will be developed at NASA/JSC. This theodolite has a similar interface to existing Hexagon theodolites at KSC. In order for the procedures developed at NASA/JSC to be implemented at KSC, the theodolites at both centers must share a common interface. The Leica TM6100a is only available to NASA/JSC through Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence.

The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 5th, 2016. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
