LECO Chemical Analyzers

Background
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD) Code 612 intends to award a firm fixed price contract to LECO Corporation for the procurement of specialized chemical analyzers. This contract aims to enhance the research and development capabilities in metallic alloy development and production practices at the NSWCCD's Rapid Applied Materials and Processing (RAMP) facility.

The RAMP lab will focus on formulating, melting, forging, heat treating, and analyzing aluminum, copper, and steel alloys to support the US Navy's material development needs. The Office of the Secretary of Defense Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment Program (OSD IBAS) has funded this initiative.

The contract includes the following equipment:
1. **Glow Discharge Atomic Emission Spectrometer (GDS)**

2. **Carbon-Sulfur (CS) Combustion Analyzer**

- Measurement Methods: Aluminum, Copper, Steel, Cast Iron, Monel, Nickel, Titanium/Refractory Metal
- Quantity: 1 Each

3. **Oxygen-Nitrogen-Hydrogen (ONH) Combustion Analyzer**
- Model Number: ONH836-HMC
- Measurement Methods: Steel, Copper, Refractory Metal
- Quantity: 1 Each

The contract also includes installation services which encompass site preparation guides and equipment assembly. Initial startup services will involve inspection and demonstration of the equipment to ensure acceptance. Additionally, four years of preventive maintenance services are included for each piece of equipment.

Period of Performance
The expected installation date is Q1 of 2026 with a total contract duration of five years including one base year and four option years.

Place of Performance
The performance will take place at the NSWCCD Memphis detachment site.
