Incumbent Analysis (see Incumbents section for more detail)
This opportunity for leasing various types of forklifts for a 1-year ordering period appears to have a confirmed incumbent, with Pape’ Material Handling awarded prior forklift lease/rental efforts at PSNS & IMF under N4523A23D5717 (idv) valued at $7,269,204 (09/19/23–09/24/28) and N4523A21D5700 (idv) valued at $4,986,027 (03/26/21–03/25/26). The prior work involved providing and maintaining multiple forklift capacities (e.g., 3-ton through 17-ton) and supplying parts, labor, and transportation to keep the equipment operational in support of shipyard activities. The current requirement’s focus on leasing and maintaining similar forklift types for defined periods at the same facility aligns with these earlier awards and appears to be a continuation of the same materials-handling rental support function.
