The intent of this sources-sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist by determining if this effort can be successfully competed and/or set-aside for small businesses.

The government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The government is interested in all large and small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.

Medical Readiness Contracting Office West (MRCO-W) is seeking a 12-month (base) plus one 6-month option period contract for the lease of a Mobile Siemens Aera 24 CH MRI Unit (a mobile 1.5 tesla (1.5 T) magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system).

Contractor will provide, deliver, install, and support a mobile 1.5 Tesla (1.5T) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. The contractor shall provide three days of training upon delivery and setup.

Upon review of industry response to this sources-sought synopsis, the government will determine the solicitation strategy. The government intends to solicit and award a contract for the lease of a mobile Siemens Aera 24 CH MRI Unit. A response to this sources-sought synopsis will not be considered an adequate response to any forthcoming solicitation announcement.

There is no solicitation available at this time.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS: It is requested that interested businesses submit to the contracting office a brief capabilities statement. This documentation shall address, at minimum, the following:

1. Written narrative of Contractor's capability to provide mobile Siemens Aera lease.

2. Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code; 8(a) business, HUB Zone small business, small disadvantaged business, woman-owned small business, veteran-owned small business, or Service disabled veteran owned small business.

3. Point of Contact information to include name, email address, telephone and fax numbers.

Background
The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – West (MRCO-W) is conducting market research to identify responsible sources for a contract aimed at leasing a Mobile Siemens Aera 24 CH MRI Unit. The government seeks to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement and is interested in responses from both large and small businesses, including those that are 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns.

Work Details
The contractor will provide, deliver, install, and support a mobile 1.5 Tesla (1.5T) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) system. The contract includes the following salient characteristics and minimum clinical performance requirements:

- Neuro Imaging
- Body Imaging (including Angio Imaging)
- Cardiac Imaging
- Ortho Imaging
- Onco Imaging
- Pediatric Imaging
- Breast Imaging
- 3D Distortion Correction
- Image Filter Software
- MPPS (Modality Performed Procedure Step)
- USA License for Advanced Cardiac imaging features such as Flow Quantification, Composing, Inline Diffusion, Inline Perfusion, and BLADE.

The system must include various coils for different body parts including Head/Brain, Neck, Shoulder (Large and Small), Body Flex, Large Flex, Small Flex, Extremity, Knee, Hand/Wrist, and Foot/Ankle. Additionally, the offered system must have an existing valid Authorization to Operate (ATO) on DoD networks and should preferably be a Siemens 1.5 T MRI system to minimize user training requirements. FDA certification is also required.
