LBMB - Beckman Optima XPN 100 Ultracentrifuge

Background
The National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Cancer Research (CCR), Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology is seeking to purchase a high-performance floor ultracentrifuge to replace an aging Beckman Optima XL-100K ultracentrifuge.
This procurement is critical for the laboratory's research on genome stability and chromosome segregation, which are fundamental to understanding cancer development and identifying potential therapeutic targets.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide one high-performance floor ultracentrifuge with the following specifications:
- Maximum operating speed of 100,000 rpm.
- Support for existing specialized ultracentrifuge rotors used for preparation of Xenopus egg extracts.
- Programmable acceleration and deceleration profiles necessary for preserving extract quality and ensuring reproducible experimental conditions.
- Delivery, installation, and operational verification included.
- Basic operator training conducted by a certified Beckman Coulter field service engineer.
- Trade-in and removal of the existing Beckman Optima XL-100K ultracentrifuge.
- All documentation, manuals, and standard warranty associated with the equipment.
