Laurel River Lake Trash Pickup and Dumpster Service   2

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Nashville District is seeking to procure trash removal and dumpster maintenance services at Laurel River Lake, Kentucky. The mission of this contract is to ensure cleanliness and proper waste management at designated locations within the lake area, which supports recreational activities and environmental protection efforts.

Work Details
The Contractor shall furnish, deliver, and service up to four (4) dumpsters across three (3) locations: the Laurel River Lake Picnic Area, Maintenance Yard, and Power Plant. The service includes:

1. Providing up to four (4) 8-yard dumpsters at designated locations.
2. Emptying all trash and debris from these dumpsters at scheduled times.
3. Monitoring the cleanliness of all dumpsters and maintaining them in proper working condition.
4. Ensuring compliance with the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection standards.
5. All waste must be removed from each dumpster during servicing, which will occur on scheduled service days.
6. Checking dumpsters for damage or wear that could prevent them from holding waste properly.

Period of Performance
The contract work is scheduled to be performed monthly from May 2025 through April 2026 for the Base Year, with options for continuation from May 2026 through April 2027 for Option Year 1, and May 2027 through April 2028 for Option Year 2.

Place of Performance
Laurel River Lake, located approximately 17 miles West of Corbin, Kentucky and 20 miles South-West of London, Kentucky.
