Laundry, Dry-cleaning, and alteration services for Hempstead HS JROTC   3

Background
The contract is for providing dry cleaning, laundry, alteration, and repair services for the Hempstead High School Army JROTC Program. The program has approximately 250 students who wear the Army Service Uniform (ASU) consisting of coat and trousers that need to be dry cleaned annually. Additionally, approximately 150 of the ASUs need minor tailoring adjustments of the trouser and approximately 50 coats need sleeve length adjusted.
Approximately 60 Army Combat Uniforms (ACU) need to be laundered and folded annually.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform laundry and dry cleaning (L&DC) and alteration/repair services for the Army Combat Uniforms (ACU) and Army Service/Dress Uniform (ASU). Services shall include but not limited to laundry, dry cleaning, alteration, repairs, pickup, and delivery of uniforms. The contractor shall develop and maintain an effective quality control program to ensure services are performed according to the standards in the contract. Additionally, the contractor shall have an on-site tailor at the contractor’s normal place of business to provide alterations and repairs.

Place of Performance
The contractor’s place of business shall be located within 20 miles of the Hempstead High School at 201 President Street, Hempstead, NY 11550. The contractor shall pick up from Hempstead High School between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm.
