Laundry and Dry-Cleaning Services

Background
The Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) is the primary provider of comprehensive inpatient care, ambulatory care, dental care, preventive and community health services, and environmental health services for members of the Navajo Nation in the northeast section of the Navajo Reservation. This solicitation seeks to obtain laundry and dry-cleaning services to support its operations.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide laundry and dry-cleaning services including scheduled pickup and delivery. The services include flatwork, rough dry, finish work, and dry-cleaning. The contractor is responsible for all labor, supervision, facilities, equipment, supplies, and transportation necessary to perform these tasks. Specific requirements include:

1. Scheduled pickup and delivery of laundry.
2. Compliance with applicable healthcare standards such as those from the Joint Commission and CDC regarding infection control.
3. Provision of clean linen carts for unloading clean laundry upon delivery.
4. Collection of soiled linens from a designated soiled linen room provided by the government.
5. Facility inspections by the government to ensure compliance with infection control standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of five years consisting of a 12-month base period from May 1, 2026 to April 30, 2027, followed by four successive option periods each lasting 12 months.
