Background
The United States Space Force (USSF) is seeking to extend the Launch and Test Range System (LTRS) Integrated Support Contract (LISC) to ensure uninterrupted critical launch support during the transition period to the follow-on Space Force Range Contract (SFRC).

The LTRS is essential for national security, civil, and commercial space lift operations, providing assured access to space. The contract is currently held by Range Generation Next LLC (RGNext), which has been performing these services since November 2014.

Work Details
The LISC encompasses a wide range of tasks necessary for the operation and maintenance of the LTRS, which includes 12 subsystems such as Command Destruct, Communications, Data Handling, Safety, Optics, Planning and Scheduling, Radar, Surveillance, Timing and Sequencing, Telemetry, Weather, and Modeling and Simulation.

Key services provided under this contract include:
- Performing Range Operations
- Operating Range Instrumentation and assessing its performance
- Conducting Range Organizational Maintenance
- Maintaining Range Systems through Depot Maintenance
- Performing Logistics Management Functions
- Sustaining modifications to ensure operational requirements are met
- Performing Systems Engineering Functions to support LTRS
- Improving Range Availability and Reliability through the Sustainment System
- Conducting Software-Related Activities
- Ensuring Availability, Integrity, Confidentiality, and Non-Repudiation of DoD Information Systems
- Providing Technical Support for Government Decision-Making related to LTRS
- Supporting Government Item Managers at Organic Depots
- Offering Specialized Support and Interim Contractor Support. Without this contract's performance, the range will not be cleared for launch.

Period of Performance
The contract extension will include a nine-month base period starting from October 1, 2024, with an optional three-month extension if necessary. This is intended to bridge the gap until the award of the SFRC on February 14, 2025.
