Work Details
The contractor will provide language instruction tailored to the level and goals of the students, focusing on developing speaking, listening, and reading skills. Instruction will include:
- Classes for adult Americans in reading, speaking, and listening in Lebanese Arabic, Modern Standard Arabic, or French.
- Group lessons primarily, with single-student lessons approved on an exceptional basis.
- Each class session lasting one hour with students typically attending two hours per week.
- A curriculum that includes original teaching materials and authentic texts such as local newspapers.
- Monitoring student progress through quizzes or progress tests as necessary.
- Preparation for standardized tests by external institutions but not administering them.
- Designing extracurricular activities including field trips based on student interests and levels. Compensation for these activities will be at the same rate as classroom instruction.

Period of Performance
Classes will be conducted year-round from Monday to Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., excluding official U.S. Embassy holidays. The schedule will be flexible to accommodate student demands.
