Description

This activity proposes extending the period of performance for Landscaping and related services by six months from April 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026, per FAR clause 52.217-8. At the time of the base contract award, pricing was not requested or evaluated, this will be a non-competitive modification. This extension period is to ensure that GSA has a means to continue performance of services to its facilities between the expiration date of the current contract and the award of the follow-on contract. A competitive procurement process is underway for a follow-on award with an expected award date of August 1, 2026.

Background
The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service, Acquisition Facility Management Contracting Division East, is proposing to extend the period of performance for Landscaping and related services due to unanticipated delays in the procurement process for a follow-on contract.

This extension is necessary to ensure continuity of services at GSA facilities until the new contract is awarded, which is expected on August 1, 2026.

Work Details
The contract extension will cover landscaping and related services at the following locations:

- Anthony J. Celebrezze Federal Building, Cleveland, OH
- Carl B. Stokes US Courthouse, Cleveland, OH
- Donald J. Pease Federal Building, Medina, OH.

The current contractor, Midwest Landscaping Inc., has been performing these services satisfactorily and possesses specific knowledge of the facilities and required services. All personnel have received necessary security clearances and credentials for access to the facilities.

Period of Performance
The period of performance will be extended by six months from April 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
