Description

A firm fixed-price contract in the amount of $677,952 was awarded to Astrobotics Technology, Inc and is the result of the Space Technology Mission Directorate (STMD) Early Career Initiative (ECI) solicitation. The period of performance for this contract is 24 months and will allow Astrobotics Technology, Inc to move forward with delivering a system capable of autonomous payload handling on the lunar and Martian surfaces. The project will leverage current and past investment in the Lightweight Surface Manipulation Systems (LSMS) hardware and autonomy software development to develop a modular, plug-and-play autonomy system to enable the LSMS to become a commodity device for autonomous payload offloading that can interface with landers or surface agents.
