Lake260051 Replace UPC Batteries ICC

Background
The National Park Service (NPS) is issuing this solicitation for the replacement of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) batteries at the Interagency Communications Center located in Lake Mead National Recreation Area (NRA). The goal of this contract is to ensure reliable power supply through the installation of new batteries, thereby supporting the mission of the NPS to maintain and protect natural and cultural resources.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal, disposal, and replacement/installation of 80 sealed lead-acid batteries in two Eaton model 9390, 208-volt, rack-mounted UPS systems. The work includes:

1) Removal and recycling of existing batteries in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations;
2) Supplying all necessary materials, labor, and equipment for completion;
3) Submitting product data sheets for battery approval prior to ordering;
4) Ensuring site access is restricted and managed by the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR);
5) Adhering to park regulations including working hours from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday;
6) Conducting background checks for all personnel accessing secured areas;
7) Obtaining necessary permits for any hot work activities;
8) Maintaining clear access for emergency vehicles at all times.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from September 1, 2026, to November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Boulder City, Nevada.

Bidder Requirements
This opportunity is set aside for small business concerns. Bidders must demonstrate experience with similar projects within three years prior to the solicitation closing date. Key personnel must not be removed or replaced without proper notification and approval. All contractor employees must pass background checks as per FBI CJIS Security requirements.
