DESCRIPTION OF WORK: The project is located in Palm Beach County, Florida

The work is to create an ecological island in the Bonefish Cove area of Lake Worth Lagoon, Palm Beach County, Florida. Fill to create the island is from Peanut Island located just west of Lake Worth Inlet. The hauling distance is approximately 10 nautical miles and must cross under four bridges, two of which are draw bridges. Work includes clearing and grubbing, excavation and transportation of fill material, constructing stone wave breaks, oyster reefs and bird mounds, as well as planting mangroves. Incidental related work also includes turbidity and vibration control monitoring.

The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 09 June 2023 and bids will be due on or about 11 July 2023.

NAICS Code 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.

The Small Business Standard is $45 million.

Magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000.00 and 20,000,000.00.

The period of performance associated with this requirement is: 575 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
