Lake Red Rock Road, Trails, and Infrastructure Repairs IDIQ FY25   3

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is issuing a requirement for road, trail, and infrastructure repairs at Lake Red Rock. The mission of the USACE is to provide vital engineering services in peace and war to strengthen the nation's security, energize the economy, and reduce risks from disasters.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the maintenance and improvement of infrastructure at Lake Red Rock, which includes various construction tasks aimed at enhancing accessibility and safety for visitors.

Work Details
The contract encompasses a wide range of construction tasks including:

- Removal of existing aggregate base
- Preparation and compaction of aggregate base
- Installation of compacted Portland cement or fly ash modified base course
- New compacted aggregate base
- Compacted aggregate shoulders
- Topsoil placement
- Fill and excavation work
- Asphalt pavement patching
- ACC milling
- Sealing of asphalt cracks/joints
- Demolition and removal of ACC pavement
- Saw cutting asphalt
- Replacement of trail sections
- Application of bituminous fog coat
- Installation of hot mix asphalt (HMA) binder and surface courses
- Milling and sealing of Portland cement concrete (PCC)
- Demolition/removal of PCC pavements, curbs, gutters, sidewalks
- Installation of steel reinforcement in concrete structures
- Seeding and site restoration activities.

Additional tasks include pavement marking, installation of steel-backed timber guardrails, detectable warning panels, geotextile application, and other related incidental work.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract will span three (3) twelve-month ordering periods totaling 36 months from the initial Notice to Proceed (NTP).

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Lake Red Rock located in Marion County, Iowa.
