Background
This solicitation is issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the Lake Kaweah (Terminus Dam) Woody Debris Removal project. The mission of this contract is to restore the aesthetic appeal, safety, and ecological integrity of the lake environment following recent storm events. The goal is to effectively remove and dispose of storm debris from the shoreline and surrounding areas of Lake Kaweah.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:

1. Removal and disposal of storm debris from the shoreline up to the high-water mark and surrounding areas of Lake Kaweah.

2. Provision of all materials, labor, transportation, and equipment necessary for debris removal, including woody debris from various structures such as dams and spillways.

3. Job planning, scheduling, administration, removal, preparation, clean-up, inspection, and management required for project tasks.

4. Conducting a thorough review of affected areas to identify debris types including hazardous materials.

5. Implementing dust control measures during work activities using water spray on dirt surfaces; no chemical treatments allowed.

6. Proper disposal of all debris per regulations; immediate notification to COR if hazardous waste is found.

7. Conducting inspections with COR upon completion to ensure all debris is removed from designated areas.

8. Prohibiting heavy equipment use on certain structures while allowing it on the crest of the dam and dike under specific conditions.

9. Sorting and recycling all removed debris; woody debris must be chipped or burned in designated areas with permits obtained by the contractor.

The work will be performed at Lake Kaweah located in Lemon Cove, California.
