Background
The Indian Health Service (IHS) is issuing this solicitation to procure a Lactation Pod for the Red Lake Hospital, which serves over 17,000 individuals in northern Minnesota. The facility aims to provide safe and supportive environments for patients and staff, particularly breastfeeding mothers, by ensuring compliance with federal workplace accommodation standards.

- Interior features including comfortable seating, fold-down or fixed shelf/table, minimum two electrical outlets, interior lighting, coat or bag hooks, ventilation system, USB charging capability, and a mirror.

Electrical requirements include a standard 120V connection with internal lighting and ventilation powered through the facility outlet. The contractor must ensure compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act lactation provisions and Joint Commission patient-centered care standards.
