Background
The La Mina Trail Repairs/Construction project is initiated by the USDA Forest Service, aimed at rehabilitating and reconstructing trail infrastructure to enhance accessibility and safety for users.

The project is part of a broader effort to maintain and improve public lands, ensuring they meet the needs of visitors while preserving natural resources. The estimated magnitude of this construction project falls between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for comprehensive construction tasks necessary to achieve the required outcomes, which include: labor, equipment, tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), internal construction permits, incidental design, travel, fees, and other related expenses.

Specific tasks include civil, structural, mechanical, electrical work; plumbing; gas systems; fire protection; special systems (network/phone); equipment installation; furniture setup; and all finishes as outlined in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). The contractor must also secure all necessary permits and comply with federal, state, and local codes including OSHA regulations and various International Codes (IBC, IMC, IPC, IFGC) as well as National Electric Code (NEC) standards.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will take place in Puerto Rico, specifically focusing on areas impacted by trail degradation within the La Mina Trail region.
