La Jara Dwelling Bunkhouse Bathroom Remodel, La Jara, Colorado

Background
The La Jara Dwelling is a Forest Service owned bunkhouse located in Conejos County, Colorado, which has been converted into seasonal employee housing. The goal of this contract is to remodel the existing bathroom in the bunkhouse to ensure it meets applicable codes and standards.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks as part of the bathroom remodel:

- Remove and retain for reinstall the shower pan, toilet, vanity, and mirror.
- Remove vinyl flooring and dispose of it off Government property.
- Replace water damaged subfloor.
- Install waterproof backing board.
- Install select ceramic tile flooring (faux hardwood type) and grout.
- Reinstall toilet with new gaskets/wax ring and screws.
- Reinstall shower pan with new fittings and drain.
- Reinstall vanity with new anti-tip screws and seals against the wall.
- Install new shower surround and shower curtain rod.
- Paint walls and ceiling in selected colors.
- Install new cove-base.
- Replace all necessary plumbing accessories for reinstallation of toilet, shower pan, and vanity.
- Dispose of waste materials off Government property.

All work must follow manufacturer’s specifications and applicable codes.

The construction projects will be performed at the La Jara Ranger Dwelling Site located at 18351 US HWY 285, La Jara, CO 81140.
