La-Bayou Sauvage NWR-Ridge Trail Lumber   2

Background
The US Fish and Wildlife Service is issuing this solicitation for the procurement of lumber to replace the Ridge Trail at Bayou Sauvage National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) in Louisiana. The goal of this contract is to supply materials necessary for the rehabilitation of the Ridge Trail Boardwalk, which spans approximately 3300 feet. This project aims to enhance the infrastructure of the refuge, ensuring safe access for visitors while preserving the natural environment.

Work Details
The contractor will supply various types of lumber and related materials as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW). The required items include:
- 50 pieces of .8CCA 6x6x12’ lumber for replacing damaged piles (8' on center)
- 6000 pieces of .8CCA 2x8x8’ decking
- 155 pieces of .8CCA 2x8x12’ decking for rest areas
- 2000 pieces of .8CCA 2x8x12’ longitudinal beams (replace as needed, 1' on center)
- 550 pieces of .8CCA 4x4x12 toe board
- 450 pieces of .8CCA 2x4x8’ toe board risers
- 20 boxes of 50 6” timber screws (1/2” lag equivalent)
- 15 boxes of 50 6” timber screws (3/8” lag equivalent)
- 30 boxes of quick drive deck screws (3” t25)
- Additional items including roofing tar, galvanized panels, top railings, cross bracing, and hurricane ties. The complete list includes quantities and specifications as outlined in the attached SOW.

Period of Performance
The period of performance for this contract is from March 27, 2025, to April 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
Materials are to be delivered to the US Fish and Wildlife Service at 17160 Chef Menteur Highway, New Orleans, LA 70129.
