Project Name: Kyle Canyon Bunkhouse HVAC Replacement

Project Description: This work consists of replacement of an HVAC system at the Kyle Canyon Bunkhouse in the Spring Mountains National Recreation area in the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. The project including removal and disposal of existing furnace, cooling coil and condensing units, in addition to the installation of a new HVAC system with a high altitude conversion kit and liquid propane conversion kit.

Project Location: Spring Mountains Recreation Area Bunkhouse (36 16'17.67"N 115 33'46.84"W) Clark County, Nevada

Background
The USDA Forest Service is issuing this contract for the replacement of an HVAC system at the Kyle Canyon Bunkhouse, located in the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area within the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest.

The goal of this contract is to enhance the heating and cooling capabilities of the facility, ensuring comfort for occupants and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Work Details
The work includes the complete replacement of an HVAC system, which involves:
1. Removal and disposal of existing furnace, cooling coil, and condensing units.
2. Installation of a new HVAC system equipped with a high altitude conversion kit and a liquid propane conversion kit.
3. Installation of liquid propane high elevation compatible HVAC equipment including:
- Lennox ML180UH090E60C LP Compatible Gas-Fired Central Furnace (or equivalent)
- Lennox ML18XC2-048-230 air cooled condenser (or equivalent)
- CX35-49C cooling coil (or equivalent).
4. Demolition and repair of closet wall modifications made during removal or installation to restore wall and doorway to initial state.
5. Replacement and weather sealing of existing vents and piping, as well as insulation for coolant line penetration.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is intended to be between October 2025 and March 2026, with a requirement that once work begins, it must be completed within 30 calendar days.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Spring Mountains Recreation Area Bunkhouse located in Clark County, Nevada.
