Background
The Flint Hills National Wildlife Refuge requires the delivery of aggregate and rock materials to support road maintenance, reconstruction, and drainage improvements within federal lands, specifically for the Indian Hill Tour Loop (Route 113) project area. Due to flooding, high-water conditions, and routine roadway degradation, there is a substantial need for various construction materials. The contract aims to procure these materials on an as-needed basis while maintaining cost control and accountability.

Work Details
The contract involves the procurement and delivery of the following aggregate materials:
- 1 ¼ inch Road Rock – estimated maximum quantity of 4,100 tons
- 200 lb Rip Rap – estimated maximum quantity of 1,000 tons
- 100 lb Rip Rap – estimated maximum quantity of 150 tons
- 6-inch Ditch Liner – estimated maximum quantity of 200 tons
- 4-inch Ditch Liner – estimated maximum quantity of 200 tons
- 4-inch Crusher Run – estimated maximum quantity of 150 tons.

The contractor must furnish materials from licensed quarries and deliver them to designated locations within Flint Hills NWR or the Indian Hill project area. Specific delivery requirements include tailgate spreading the road rock at directed locations and providing certified weight tickets for each load delivered.

The period of performance is from July 1, 2026, to September 30, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must coordinate all deliveries with the designated Point of Contact prior to dispatch. They are required to obtain all necessary permits and licenses for operation and pay all fees and taxes associated with material delivery. The contractor must also protect government property during performance and be liable for any damages caused by their operations.
