Description

Contracted supported service for the replacement and upgrade for the KOR-24A Small Tactical Terminal (STT). L3 Technologies (Harris) shall provide all supplies, materials, equipment, tools, labor, personnel, transportation, supervision, and management necessary for the STT upgrade. This will include replacing existing receivers and transceivers. L3 Technologies (Harris) will receive, document, diagnose, and return any KOR-24A STTs owned by AFSOC SOACS in accordance with L3's established STT maintenance procedures. AFSOC SOACS is responsible for shipping costs of the STTs to L3Harris's repair depot. L3Harris is responsible for shipping costs when delivering back to the customer (CONUS). L3Harris must make all upgrades and return the STT withing a period of 120 days from the date of submission to the contractor for repair. The vendor shall provide a Final Repair Report and Technical specifications in both soft and hard copy to the Government upon the completion of each repair. All parts, software and firmware will be in accordance with the L3Harris established technical specifications.

Background
The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron, 1 SOCONS/PKA, intends to award a Sole Source contract to L3 Technologies, Inc. for the KOR 24A Secure Tactical Terminal (STT) Upgrade. AFSOC requires a contracted support service to replace and upgrade the KOR-24A Secure Tactical Terminal (STT). The requirement is to replace existing quad receiver exciter shop with new transceivers and new software for the three STT. The KOR24A Secure Tactical Terminals (STT) exclusively belong to L3 Technologies with no other manufacturers available. L3 Technologies is affiliated with L3Harris, who does not allow any third-party vendors to make any repairs and/or upgrades to their products.
