Background
The U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Aircraft Operations Center (AOC) at Lakeland, FL operates three BE-300 King Air aircraft in support of NOAA and national research. AOC requires a contract to provide a complete aircraft paint and interior refurbishment for AOC’s King Air B300 aircraft, Serial Number FM21, Tail Number N68RF, home based at the Lakeland Linder Airport in Lakeland, FL. The aircraft operates in various environmental conditions, including over-water operations and low-level surveys that could make the aircraft more susceptible to corrosion.

Work Details
The vendor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, special tools, facilities, and certified staff to perform a full aircraft paint and interior refurbishment. The tasks include:

1. Complete strip, sanding, inspection of surfaces (composite and metal), corrosion repair that is found, and a complete prime and paint of all aircraft surfaces.

2. Interior refurbishment including interior prep, flight deck refurbishing, and cabin refurbishing.

Specific tasks for the paint include:
- Conducting an incoming inspection for any evidence of damage or discrepancies;
- Stripping and sanding the aircraft while protecting sensitive areas;
- Repairing discrepancies found during stripping;
- Sealing openings and replacing sealant as needed;
- Sanding composites and preparing them for top coat application;
- Balancing flight control surfaces as per maintenance manual requirements.
