KHC Old Housing Renovation

Background
The Kayenta Health Center (KHC) is located in a remote area of Arizona, serving a population of approximately 20,000 people. KHC provides essential health services, including walk-in clinics and a 24/7 emergency room. The goal of this contract is to renovate four modular homes that are structurally sound but have worn interiors requiring replacement. This project aims to enhance the living conditions for staff and improve service delivery at the health center.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the renovation of four modular homes built in 1978, each requiring extensive internal replacements. The specific tasks include:
- Replacement of kitchen and restroom cabinets, sinks, faucets, and countertops.
- Installation of new front and back doors.
- Replacement of HVAC systems including furnaces and ducts.
- Installation of standing showers and toilets.
- Plumbing work for domestic water systems.
- Replacement of utility room subflooring with ¾ inch plywood.
- Adding a layer of cinder blocks around each mobile home for structural support.
- Labor for all renovation tasks and installation of new luxury vinyl tile and baseboards throughout the homes.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from August 1, 2026, to July 31, 2027.
