Description

22 MXS requires the removal, disposal, and installation of paint filters for the KC46. This requirement will replace old filters currently in use. The replacement of filters will remove impurities such as dirt and dust from paint applied to aircraft.

Background
The 22d Maintenance Squadron (22 MXS) at McConnell AFB, KS 67221-3702 is seeking to replace paint filters for the KC46 aircraft. The purpose of this requirement is to remove impurities such as dirt and dust from paint applied to the aircraft.

Work Details
The contractor is required to remove and replace all paint filters at Hangar 1124, including single stage intake and three-stage exhaust filters. The work involves the installation of specific filter parts at designated locations, as well as the disposal of old filters. Additionally, the contractor must collect representative samples of the removed filters for analysis to determine if they are hazardous waste. The contractor must adhere to standards of conduct established by the Installation Commander and provide installation records and a safety plan. Access to the project site must be coordinated with the 22d Maintenance Squadron Resource Advisor. The contractor is responsible for the quality of all completed work and will not receive any government furnished property or services except for basic lifesaving and life support measures during emergencies.

Period of Performance
The performance period for this contract shall be no more than 45 days after award of the contract, with a weekly status update required.
