Description

This Request for Information (RFI) is being conducted to determine if any Contractor has the capacity to develop a non-destructive inspection supplement for the KC-46A aircraft. Please see the attached RFI and respond in accrodance with RFI and this post.

Background
The KC-46 Aircraft provides worldwide, day and night, and adverse weather aerial refueling to receiver-capable US, allied, and coalition military aircraft, including unoccupied aircraft.

The KC-46 Tanker is a commercial derivative of the Boeing 767-2C aircraft, modified to meet unique KC-46 Tanker requirements. The Air Force is seeking services to support the creation of an Air Force-specific supplement to the current Boeing Non-Destructive Test Manual (NDT). This effort aims to develop a digitized standalone KC-46A Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) supplement that includes only relevant inspections from the existing KC-46 NDT Manual, ultimately supporting aircraft inspections.

Work Details
The contractor will assist in creating an Air Force-specific NDI supplement tailored to Air Force maintainer skill levels and aligned with AF-approved equipment.

Required tasks will include only the inspection steps necessary for performing procedures using identified equipment, with initial calibration references directed to the 33B-1-2. Interested parties must demonstrate their technical capability to perform these services. The final deliverable will be a digitized document that supports A/C inspections.

Place of Performance
Wright Patterson AFB OH 45433 UNITED STATES

Bidder Requirements
Contractors must have the manpower, technical expertise/skill set, and capability to write NDT tasks for various inspections. They are required to provide documentation demonstrating their capability and experience with KC-46A or similar aircraft over the past five years.
