KC-46 Aircraft Battle Damage Repair Technical Order

Background
The KC-46 Aircraft provides worldwide, day and night, and adverse weather aerial refueling to receiver-capable US, allied, and coalition military aircraft, including unoccupied aircraft.

The KC-46 Tanker is a commercial derivative of the Boeing 767-2C aircraft, modified to meet unique KC-46 Tanker requirements. The Air Force is seeking information on contractors interested in supporting its requirements for creating an Aircraft Battle Damage Repair Technical Order (TO) specific to the KC-46 platform.

Work Details
The contract involves the creation of an Aircraft Battle Damage Repair (ABDR) Technical Order for the KC-46A Aircraft. This TO will be based on the existing 1-1H-39 technical order and will follow the naming convention TO 1C-46(K)A-39.

The TO will be utilized for deployed aircraft or those accidentally damaged away from a repair facility or depot. It will provide detailed information allowing technicians to repair the aircraft to a partial mission capable (PMC) or ferry flight condition. Specific requirements include:
- Damage limitation tables for all aspects of the aircraft's material.
- Detailed descriptions of parts that make up the superstructure.
- Flight restrictions resulting from repaired damage.
- Creation of a PDF manual based on MIL-STD-38784 and MIL-DTL-87158.

Period of Performance
The need date for this Technical Order is 1 June 2027.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed in support of deployed aircraft or at locations where accidental damage occurs away from repair facilities.
