Description

The Basic award FA8539-18-D-0003 for Orbit Communication Systems CAGE: 34NS0 was a Requirements Type Contract with the provisions for Firm Fixed Price repair contract line items. The New Follow-On Contract FA8539-24-D-0001 Total Contract Value was $16,456,623.00 was awarded due to only one source available. This effort is a follow-on contract to continue retrofit and repair for ADIS National Stock Number (NSN) front panel of the Interphone Audio Control Panel (IACP) NSN 5831-01-474-1630 and repair only for National Stock Numbers (NSN) 5895-01-474-2850 Combined Audio Interface Unit (CAIU) and 5831-01-459-5966 Intercom Control Panel (ICP). The LRUs are part of one system and so they must be repaired together and by the same source. This will ensure a consistency in quality of the repair of all items.

The appropriate Government surveillance is in place to ensure that effective methods for cost control and labor efficiency are applied. The Contractor's accounting system is considered adequate to properly accumulate incurred costs for this contract. The Government does not possess the data rights for the ORBIT/ADIS NSNs to support full & open competition.
