Kardex and HiDensity Maintenance

The 90th Contracting Squadron, F.E. Warren AFB, WY intends to award a single-source contract to Space Concepts, Inc., 6145 Broadway, Suite 19, Denver, CO, 80216-1030; Cage: 1V8Q5, to provide a base plus four one-year option Kardex and High-Density Shelving Maintenance contract. The anticipated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Commercial Purchase Order. The statutory authority which permits single-source for this acquisition is 41 United States Code (USC) 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) only one source reasonably available.

The 90th Contracting Squadron has a requirement for services maintenance of all Kardex and Hi-Density shelving units. The service will be performed at F.E. Warren AFB, WY 82005 where Space Concepts, Inc. will come to F.E. Warren AFB to inspect the shelving units two (2) times a year and when necessary for repairs for breakage and functionally failure. Space Concepts, Inc. developed, built and installed the shelving systems currently in use and due to them having proprietary rights on the maintenance due to the warranty, they are the only vendor at this time that can provide maintenance.

NORTH AMERICAN INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (NAICS) CODE the intended procurement is classified under NAICS code 337215 with a Size Standard of 500 employee's.

REGULATORY AUTHORITY The resultant contract will include all applicable provisions and clauses in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-100.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; a solicitation document will not be issued. All information received within seven days of the date of this notice with pricing and sufficient technical documentation to establish bona fide capability (i.e. unit price, list price, shipping and handling costs, the delivery period after contract award, the prompt payment discount terms, the F.O.B. Destination, the Dun & Bradstreet Number (DUNS), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size) to meet the requirement will be considered by the 90th Contracting Squadron.
A determination not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the 90th Contracting Squadron. Information received will be considered primarily for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive requirement.
