Justification - Comprizon Suite Support for DOC   3

Background
The Department of Commerce (DOC) is seeking to continue its Business Applications Solution (BAS) program, which is a modernization initiative aimed at deploying an integrated suite of financial and business management applications. The Secretary of Commerce has identified this program as a top priority. The justification for this contract is based on the need for ongoing support and maintenance of the Comprizon Suite (C.Suite), a proprietary software that has been modified to meet the Department's needs since its deployment in 1999. This justification is being conducted under the authority permitting other than full and open competition as outlined in 41 U.S.C. § 1901.

Work Details
The contract will provide continued maintenance and support for the C.Suite software, which integrates and streamlines the entire acquisition management process from requisition through contract/purchase to order closeout. The services required under this contract include:

1. Program Management Support Services,
2. Software Support Services,
3. Customized Software Services,
4. Report Writing Services,
5. Data Migration Services,
6. Technical Site Visits,
7. Help Desk Site Services,
8. System Retirement Activities.

This support is necessary until three months after the full implementation of the BAS program to allow for data archival and system retirement activities.
