Jordan Competitiveness Program (JCP)

The purpose of the Jordan Competitiveness Program (JCP) is to enhance Jordan's competitiveness, promote sustainable economic growth, and increase employment, thus ensuring an economically stable and secure Jordan; this is done through a various service delivery and interventions. The extension period will provide for activities organized based on the key components of JCP: support for the Jordan Compact through the Project Management Unit (PMU) within the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (MoPIC); investment promotion work with the Jordan Investment Commission (JIC); and support for the implementation of "Enterprise Jordan" and expansion of the Firm-Level Assistance (FLA) program. The Enterprise Jordan and FLA component also includes a discussion of the extension of strategic grants from the current contract, as JCP will extend its grant to the American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan (AmCham) to continue its export promotion activities under JCP until the end of June 2019, with an implementation period of nine months (October 1, 2018-June 30, 2019).
