Background
The solicitation is for the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Army Family Housing Renovation Project at Fort McNair, District of Columbia. The project involves the renovation of three general officer homes located on Fort McNair, which were originally designed in the Colonial Revival style by McKim, Meade and White and constructed between 1903 and 1905. All three buildings are within the boundaries of the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) eligible Fort Lesley J. McNair Historic District.
