Background
The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, Medical Supply Chain is the contracting activity for this procurement. The contract aims to acquire Johnson & Johnson Health Care Systems (JJHCS) DePuy Synthes Cranial and Maxillofacial (CMF) and Trauma procedural packages.

This initiative is part of the Manufacturer Direct Program, which seeks to streamline the procurement process for medical supplies by allowing Medical Treatment Facilities (MTFs) to order brand-name products directly based on specific needs.

Work Details
The contract will involve the delivery of JJHCS DePuy Synthes CMF and Trauma procedural packages, which include implants, instrumentation sets, and auxiliary products necessary for orthopedic surgeries.

The delivery methods include:
1. Just-in-Time (JIT): Products are delivered at the time of surgery as coordinated with a Sales Representative.
2. Direct Vendor Delivery (DVD): Products are shipped directly to customers via transportation carriers.
3. Consignment: Products are pre-positioned at MTFs, with payment only for items used during surgeries.

The procedural packages will consist of essential items such as drill bits, saw blades, bone cement, etc., ensuring that all necessary tools are available for surgical procedures.

Period of Performance
The proposed contract will be a five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract.

Place of Performance
Products will be delivered to various Department of Defense (DoD) research centers, hospitals, clinics, and other federal customers participating in the Manufacturer Direct Program.
