Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a sole source UARC task order contract N00024-22-D-6404. As authorized under FAR 6.302, this contract action was not awarded competitively.

Background
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) awarded a sole source IDIQ contract to Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL) for essential research, development, and engineering services in support of the Department of the Navy University Affiliated Research Center (UARC) Office. This action was authorized and is not competitive.

Work Details
JHU/APL will provide essential engineering, research, development, test, and evaluation capabilities for Navy, DoD, and non-DoD sponsors within DoD-approved UARC core competencies such as:

- Strategic Systems Test and Evaluation
- Submarine Security and Survivability
- Space Science and Engineering
- Combat Systems and Guided Missiles
- Air and Missile Defense and Power Projection
- Information Technology (C4ISR/IO)
- Simulation, Modeling, and Operations Analysis
- Mission-Related RDT&E.

These services are critical for performing engineering and developmental work that applies scientific or technical theories to specific programs managed by various technical sponsor organizations.

Period of Performance
The contract includes a base five-year ordering period with an additional five-year option period.

Place of Performance
Work will be performed at JHU/APL.
