Background
The U.S. Embassy in San Salvador is seeking qualified contractors to provide comprehensive janitorial services for its 26-acre compound, which includes multiple office buildings, a gym, three warehouses, two cafeterias, and supports over 500 staff and temporary duty personnel.

The goal of the contract is to ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities, including the Chief of Mission Residence and Deputy Chief of Mission Residence.

Work Details
The contractor shall perform daily cleaning, waste removal, floor care, restroom sanitation, dusting of work surfaces, window cleaning in accessible areas, and periodic deep cleaning across a total service area of approximately 67,583 square meters.

Specific tasks include:
- Daily cleaning of halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators, and stairways.
- Sweeping and damp mopping floor areas to maintain cleanliness.
- Dusting and cleaning all furniture to ensure surfaces are free from dust and dirt.
- Vacuuming rugs and carpets to remove debris.
- Thorough cleaning of toilets and bathrooms using non-abrasive cleaners; refilling supplies such as paper towels and toilet paper as needed.
- Scheduling routine and periodic cleaning to minimize disruption to normal operations.

The contractor must also develop a quality control plan to monitor service standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will include a base year with four option years and a potential six-month extension.
