Background
The U.S. Embassy in Nassau, The Bahamas is seeking a contractor to provide janitorial services for its facilities. Work Details
The contractor shall perform janitorial services in all designated areas including halls, offices, restrooms, work areas, entrance ways, lobbies, storage areas, elevators, and stairways. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and services. Specific duties include:

1) Daily cleaning requirements such as sweeping and damp mopping floors;
2) Dusting and cleaning furniture;
3) Scheduling routine cleaning to minimize disruption;
4) Providing temporary additional services as needed for special events;
5) Preparing general instructions for the workforce subject to approval by the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR);
6) Ensuring compliance with security requirements in certain areas;
7) Maintaining quality control to meet contract standards with no more than one customer complaint per month.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a one-year period from the date of award, with four optional one-year extensions at the discretion of the government.

The contract will be performed at the U.S. Embassy located in Nassau, The Bahamas.
